The Low Income Household Rebate helps eligible Members cover the costs of their energy bills.

What you need to know

> You'll receive the rebate as a quarterly credit, up to a total of $285.00 per year. The amount is calculated daily from the day you call us and apply.

> The energy account holder must hold one of the valid concession cards.

> If you are switching to Powerclub, tell us you receive this rebate so we can set it up on your account.

> A household can only receive one Low Income Household Rebate each financial year.

> The rebate is only applied to your principal place of residence.

> Commonwealth Seniors Health Card holders are not eligible for this rebate.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the concession, a Member must hold a valid concession card. Valid concession cards include:

> Pensioner Concession Cards issued by the Department of Human Services (DHS) or the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA)

> Health Care Cards issued by Department of Human Services, or

> A Department of Veterans' Affairs Card marked as being either:

> War widow or War Widower Pension; or

> Totally and Permanently Incapacitated (TPI); or

> Disability Pension (EDA)

The Life Support Rebate is provided to assist Members who require the use of specific life support machines in their home. The rebate provides a discount that varies depending on the type of machine required for life support purposes.

Eligibility Criteria

You can apply for the Life Support Energy Rebate if you, or someone living at the address of the eligible Member:

> is an NSW resident

> is an account holder named on the Powerclub bill

> has been assessed by a registered medical practitioner to verify that the use of the approved life support equipment is required at their principal place of residence.

> Positive Airways Pressure (PAP) device

> Enteral Feeding Pump

> Phototherapy equipment

> Home Dialysis

> Ventilators

> Oxygen concentrators

Application

If you have a life support machine that is eligible for concession, or any other type of machine prescribed by a doctor for life support purposes, please contact Powerclub to register your life support requirement on 1300 294 459. We will send you an information letter and a Medical Confirmation Form that you will need to complete, have certified by your medical practitioner and return it to Powerclub within 15 days.

The Medical Energy Rebate is designed to assist Members who are inability to self-regulate body temperature due to particular medical conditions (such as Multiple Sclerosis or Peripheral Vascular Disease).

> You'll receive the rebate up to a total of $285.00 per year.

> The amount is calculated at a daily rate and the concession amount applied to each bill will vary according to the number of days within the billing period.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Medical Energy Rebate, either the account holder or someone residing at the premises must have the inability to self-regulate body temperature. The account holder must also hold one of the following concession cards:

> Pensioner Concession Card issued by the (DVA) or Department of Human Services (DHS)

> DHS Health Care Card (DHS)

> DVA Gold Card

Application

To apply for this concession, the eligible Member will need to complete this Application Form and have it certified by their medical practitioner before submitting it to us.

The Family Energy Rebate was introduced by the NSW government in 2012 to assist family households pay their electricity bills. From 2017, the Family Energy Rebate provides eligible households with a $180 credit on their electricity bill.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Family Energy Rebate, the applicant must be a NSW resident who was eligible for the Federal Government Family Tax Benefit A or B at some point during the 2017-2018 financial year and have received a payment relating to that benefit. This rebate only applies to Members whose name appears on the electricity account and is for the principal place of residence.

Application:

To apply for the rebate, an application form must be completed and sent to the NSW Department of Trade and Investment. This form can be completed either online or a paper form can be submitted. To receive the application in paper form, please visit the website or contact Powerclub on 1300 294 459.
